Happy New Year puppet enthusiasts!
2008 is shaping up to be a great year for the Puppet Showplace! We are having a SLAM on the 19th of January. SLAMs are special nighttime events for grown-up puppet fans. Sometimes we tell jokes, or perform puppet ballets. Sometimes the things that happen are a complete surprise!
Also: New and exciting things are always popping up in our store, so drop in and take a look!
Puppet Showplace is New England's Puppet Theater; the first and only theater in the region solely dedicated to high-quality puppetry performance and education for audiences of all ages. Our blog helps readers plug into the puppetry community, learn about upcoming events, or take a behind-the scenes-tour of our many shows and classes.

We will only cancel the show if a parking ban is put into effect by the city of Brookline, or in the event that the puppeteer is unable to perform. At any rate, we will make great efforts to contact everyone who has reservations An announcement will also be made here on the PuppetBlog, so keep checking back.
-Our 12/19 performance of of "Gingerbread Boy" is sold out. However, we still have tickets for 12/20.
-We have received ANOTHER shipment of excting goodies for the store. Stop in and take a look!

New Store Additions
Something wonderful happened over the weekend: We got a BIG shipment of new puppets for the store!
We have new marionettes (including a pirate and a wizard!), finger puppets (bugs! unicorns! elephants!), and hand puppets (sharks! lobsters! mammals!).
There are so many new and exciting things in the store, we barely have enough room to mention them them here!

Speaking of our store!
We have new marionettes! They are lovable collie dogs who come with their own comb to keep their soft plush fur show-ready!
We also have new books, puzzles, and hand puppets. Remember: Puppets make a fun, educational and unique holiday gift!
And last but certainly not least: Please be aware that the 12/12 and 12/13 performances of "Funny Bone Tales" have been changed to "Raccoon Tales" due to a scheduling conflict. "Raccoon Tales" is presented by our Artist in Residence Paul Vincent Davis, and is appropriate for ages 3 and up.
Stay warm, puppet fans!
